Scotch Egg (MAD)

Ingredients:
 g KetoCal 4:1 Powder Unflavoured
 g Onion, spring, raw
 g Vegetables, fresh: Mushrooms, Button / Common / Flat, raw
 g Hans, Bacon: Bacon Rashers with Rind
 g Chicken, mince, raw
 g Oils: Rice Bran
 g Eggs: Chicken Egg, white only, raw, fresh
 g Eggs: Quail Egg, whole, raw, fresh
 g Vegetables, fresh: Carrots, raw

Directions:

  1. Fry bacon rashers in a frying pan until crispy
  2. Finely chop the spring onions, mushroom and crispy bacon and combine with the chicken mince in a bowl. Beat an egg white and add to the bowl with half the oil (keep the rest for later)
  3. Mix in the KetoCal powder until combined
  4. Boil 2 quail eggs in water then drain and set aside to cool
  5. Roll the chicken mix around the cooled eggs to make 2 small meatballs, then fry these in the remaining oil
  6. Serve with grated carrot
Chef's tips
  1. Quail eggs can be hard to find in your regular supermarket but it is important to use them in this recipe because of their small size. We recommend trying your local Green Grocer or Asian Supermarket, as many of these stores have quail eggs readily available
