Chicken & Sage Tart (MAD)

Ingredients:
g KetoCal 4:1 Powder Unflavoured
g Devondale, Butters: Unsalted Butter
g Mainland, Cheese: Grated, Cheddar, Tasty
g Coles, Cheese Spread: Cream Cheese
g Eggs: Chicken Egg, whole, raw, fresh
g Oils: Rice Bran
g Tandaco, Stuffing Mix: Stuffing Mix, Sage & Onion, dry
g Chicken Raw: Breast Meat, no skin, raw
g Water: Water
g Sage, dried
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 160°C/gas mark 2-3
- Place some oil in a frying pan
- Dice the chicken and sauté in the pan until browned, then leave aside to cool before starting step 6
- Place KetoCal in a bowl and rub in the butter your fingertips. Sprinkle the water on top and mix until it becomes a stiff crumbly pastry, then roll into a ball
- Line a tartlet tin by pressing the pastry in to the edges
- Filling: Combine the cream cheese, egg, remaining oil, cooked chicken, cheese, sage and stuffing mix in a bowl. Spoon the mixture into the pastry case
- Cook in the oven for 10-15 mins or until golden brown
Chef's tips
- Avoid overworking the dough, that way you will always have a light, delicious pastry
- You can make your pastry in advance and freeze. When ready to use, defrost thoroughly and use with the tart filling
